This short study series provides opportunities through videos and discussion to explore the background and some of the beliefs of Islam. The contrast between Islam and Christianity will become clear and could aid conversations about the challenges Islam presents today.

Our study will cover four sections, each section covering two weeks.

Section 1 The Rise of Islam

Session 1. A very brief history of Islam

This session provides an illustrated whistle stop history of Islam plus another history given by Brigitte Gabriel a Lebanese Christian now living in USA

Session 2. Looking at some origins of Islam

The aim here is to view some research of the evidence of Muhammad, the Quran and Mecca. The second video features the traditional account of Muhammad’s life taught to all Muslims

Section 2 What separates Islam from Christianity?

Session 3. An introduction to Islam in the West

The first video shares how British government was informed of Muslim plans of infiltrating Britain. The second video, made 7 years, ago explains how the spread of Islam began to move into Europe.

Session 4. Corruption and attack

Muslims often claim that Christians are Polytheists for believing in the Trinity, and the first video looks at the Hajj ritual and asks if Islam is truly monotheistic. The second part of the session shares the Muslim view that the West is in decline and that they have the answer.

Session 5. Engaging with Muslims

This talk was given to Christians about having conversations with Muslims regarding Allah/God and Jesus. What are the similarities and differences?

Session 6. Engaging with Muslims

This session is about conversations on the thorny issue of the Divinity of Jesus and how to prove He is the son of God. Also it includes conversations on how Muslims work to gain Salvation.

Section 4 The Jihad threat and what we can do

Session 7.  Jihad

Two Christians from a Muslim background share their understanding of how Jihad is a plan to take over Western democracy.  They warn that people in the West need to grasp the threat of Sharia law.

Session 8. A letter to Muslims

One man’s short story of finding freedom by leaving Islam is told. Also we consider ways in which Christians can share the gospel with Muslims.
