When 'End of Life Care' Goes Wrong. 2023. 234pp

‘In 1977, former United States’ Vice President, Hubert Humphrey, said in a speech delivered in Washington: “the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; those who are in the shadows of life; the sick, the needy and the handicapped.”

The LCFCPG report, When ‘End of Life Care’ Goes Wrong, deals specifically with the latter two groups, exposing what one is tempted to label the ‘callous and inhumane treatment’ meted out to some patients as they approach the end of life. Treatments such as the withdrawal of oral hydration – even when thee patient is sometimes begging for a drink – or the administration of strong sedatives, prescribed with the sole intention of rendering thr patient unconscious, while hastening death.

I warmly commend this unsettling, but timely, report to all.’

Missing Millions. 2021. 121pp

‘Under current guidelines, would we have known paralympic Gold Medalist Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, former Home Secretary Lord Blunkett, or high achiever against all odds, Baron Shinkwin? Quite possibly not, since the pressure on mothers to abort their unborn child scanned as disabled is intended to deny them life.

These are precious people, giving life, hope and strength to millions, disabled or not.

Who are we to destroy the unique blessing of life because we judge others to be potentially less perfect than ourselves?

Please read this book: it’s a real eye-opener.’

Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne

Missing Millions is a must read for all those serious about the consistent application of human rights to all human beings, including before birth. Every contribution provides food for thought and will challenge, provoke and inform…a vital resource.’

Professor David Paton

‘At a time when there is a desperate need for compassion and a social conscience, abortion hardens the heart and brutalises all those involved. This book raises important questions that society needs urgently to address.’

What Are They Teaching the Children? 2016. 352pp

‘Should education become a vehicle for ideologies, however controversial? This book puts a much-needed searchlight on educational trends that seem to be a part of a wider attempt to remove Christian influences from public life.’

Professor Roger Trigg

‘This timely, and at times, controversial, book seeks to explore how education in the UK has developed or been derailed over the years.’

Clive Ireson, Director of Association of Christian Teachers (ACT)

‘A must read for anyone concerned about the direction of education. It raises significant questions about what is happening in schools which noone who cares about the future of the young, and therefore the nation, should ignore.’

Magna Carta Unravelled. 2015. 217pp

As one essayist puts it, “We need to be much more honest about where we have come from and where we are going.” These essays are frank. lucid and stimulating sources for reflection; and are helpful encouragements to further inquiries and to work for sensible remedies before it is too late.’

Professor John Finnis, Law and Legal Philosophy Emeritus

‘This book emphasises the realtionship between the dignity of our democratic traditions and the religious liberty of our citizens. It is a timely reminder of the proper limits of the power of the state and deserves to be studied widely.’

The Rt Rev Dr Peter Foster, Bishop of Chester

‘At a time when secular humanism is so energetically seeking to undermine the Judaeo-Christian values of our culture, this book presents a brilliant and robust statement of the continuing significance of Magna Carta.’

Dennis Wrigley, Founder of The Maranatha Community

Is There a Case for Same-Sex Marriage? 2012. 102pp

‘This is a full balanced account of the argument against opening the institution of marriage to same sex couples. I commend it to all who are concerned about this vitally important question.’

Lord Mackay of Clashfern, former Queen’s Counsel and Lord Chancellor

‘An important contribution that highlights that this issue is far more complex than at first imagined, and cannot, solely, be decided on the idealism of a few.’

Dr Abhijit Pandya, Executive Director of the Centre for Democratic Studies

‘This is a well-researched, balanced, comprehensive and marvellous study. I found it most useful in collecting my arguments together and getting so much great information on the whole backgroundin an infinitely fair and extraordinarily well-reasoned way. This study needs to be read by a wide audience.
