Fighting Sexual Exploitation – 10 days to go
Help protect children from abuse

Book now for this important conference on Saturday, April 13th at St Aldate’s Church in Oxford.   Time: 10.00am to 4.30 pm.

It’s conservatively estimated 27,000,000 people are victims of slavery in the world today.  Because of the hidden nature of the problem, it’s very hard to arrive at exact figures here in the UK, but we know from various rings that have come to light recently that a sizeable proportion are being trafficked into this country, mainly for sex purposes, but also for domestic work and organised crime.

At the same time, an increasing number of sex grooming rings – where children are being recruited internally and then passed round for sex with adults – is also coming to light. People are familiar with the Asian rings under investigation in places as far apart as Oxford, Rochdale and Glasgow, to name but a few.  But of equal concern is the increasing number of organised paedophile rings, often targeting young boys for underage homosexual sex, and other organised abuse networks, also evident in the scandal surrounding Jimmy Savile and other high profile individuals in the entertainment world.

As a society, in recent years, we have actively encouraged sexual licence and promiscuity, so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised at the horrifying stories that seem daily coming to light.  But we don’t have to accept it.  Together we can make a difference.  Come to our conference and learn more about the true scale of the problem, and what we can all do to help.
