Summer Appeal

The battle for our country seems daily to grow more intense.  Christians who hold to the traditional values on which our nation is founded are branded right wing, dangerous fascists, in marked contrast to those who bow the knee to the culturally relevant gods of multi-faith, multi-cultural inclusivity and diversity, and who, all too often, are lauded as heroic freedom fighters in a brave new world.

At VfJUK we do not accept this narrative.  Britain is under spiritual and physical attack as never before, and we are proud of our heritage as a Christian nation.  We stand against the darkness that is trying illegitimately to take control.

  • We are proud of our famed tolerance and the welcome, down the ages, that we have given to all, especially to those facing hardship and persecution.
  • We are proud of our part in abolishing slavery, and in taking health care and education out across the world – often at tremendous cost to those who literally gave their lives, so that others, less fortunate, might be saved and helped.
  • We are proud of our Christian roots, and that our ‘children’ from overseas are now coming to help us in our hour of need.
We are inheritors of the legacy of those who have gone before, and guardians of the truth for which so many gave their lives – that we might live in freedom.  Our call at VfJUK is, therefore, to defend the truth, and reclaim and recover the ground taken by powers and principalities that stand in opposition to God, and that are causing so much damage.  We are called:
  • To protect the vulnerable, at both the beginning and end of life
  • To protect children and the family
  • To protect victims of abuse, exploitation, and discrimination
  • To protect freedom of belief and freedom of speech
  • To protect the free exercise of choice
  • To defend, without compromise, Christian belief. 
Currently, we are putting together a Report on the growing problems of discrimination faced by Christians in the UK – at work, at school, in hospitals, in business … in every area of life, in fact.  We will not back down or bow to intimidation, and our intention is to present the Report to Parliament, along with recommendations for action.Britain is at a cross-roads.  Only God can save us, and VfJUK’s call is to follow where God leads, and stand against the threats we face.  But the work is costly and our resources are limited.  In particular, our finances at the moment are very low, and to continue we need urgent help.  There is even a danger we might be forced in the not-too-distant future to close.

Will you help us in our battle to defend the marginalised, abused, and oppressed – to protect those who cannot defend themselves?
