Ban Stonewall from interference in public bodies and schools
PETITION TO: THE RT HON BORIS JOHNSON MP – PRIME MINISTER
Stonewall, by its own boast, is an ideologically driven campaigning group dedicated to bringing about social and political change (https://www.stonewall.org.uk/our-impact). Through its Diversity Champions Scheme, offered to government departments, public-sector organizations, businesses, and schools, it has actively encouraged policies promoting and normalising LGBTQ+ life-style choices and behaviours in the wider community.
In its advice, and in pursuit of its aims, it has misrepresented and misapplied equality law, with the deliberate intention of shaping public policy.
In recognition of this, increasing numbers of high-profile government and public sector bodies – e.g. the Department of Health, the CPS, the BBC and many more – have withdrawn their membership and severed links with Stonewall.
Stonewall represents a minority of the population, yet they seek to shape public policy and to promote their values and ideas onto children who lack the emotional and intellectual maturity to assess for themselves what they are being taught. This is wrong. We call on government to ban Stonewall from any and all involvement in government departments, and in schools and other places of learning.
