Help us defend the UK’s Christian Heritage

The same dark spirit in evidence before WW2, calling for death to all Jews, is once again prowling our streets.  Back then it was called Fascism, but now it is known by a different name.   It is, however, the same spirit and it has no place here in the UK.  At all costs, it must be resisted.

As our country continues its helter-skelter plunge into chaos, VfJUK’s call is to be a beacon in the present dark, to search after the wounded and lost, and to reclaim the ground.  Pre-eminently, we are called to defend Christian rights and freedoms, and to be a voice for those who cannot advocate or speak for themselves.  We stand against all ideologies and value systems that seek to challenge our democratic freedoms and to impose a worldview that is at heart inimical to the defining spirit of Britain.

But all of this needs money and, faced with the ever rising costs affecting everyone, we are finding ourselves increasingly under strain.   In fact, our finances have once again dipped alarmingly and, without help, we will not be able to carry on.   Please, if you can, help us continue the fight.  If those who seek to impose an alien value system onto Britain are allowed to continue unchallenged, then there is every danger our way of life, and all we hold dear, will be destroyed from within.  There is every danger that Britain will fall.
Hatred and bigotry in the UK

Last weekend, we had the glaring example from Glastonbury of rap duo Bob Vylan chanting ‘Death, death to the IDF’, while the BBC continued its broadcast in what can only be seen as the Corporation’s grovelling approval of anything and everything that opposes Israel’s right of self-defence.  At the same time, in February this year, the Government quietly launched a new working party to investigate what they labelled anti-Muslim hatred and Islamophobia in the UK, in response to what they claimed was the alarming increase in anti-Muslim hate crime. This move was enthusiastically applauded by the Muslim Council of Britain.

Contrary to normal practice, however, the group was set up without general public notice, and meetings of the group, together with all record of its workings, are apparently embargoed, carrying the warning notice, ‘not to be made public’.

Chaired by Dominic Grieve KC, the group is composed of Professor Javed Khan OBE, Managing Director of EQUI, Baroness Shaista Gohir OBE, CEO of Muslim Women’s Network UK, Akeela Ahmed MBE, Co-Chair of British Muslim Network, and Asha Affi, Independent Consultant.  Apart from Dominic Grieve, the composition of the group is therefore entirely Muslim and, while their brief is to investigate  anti-Muslim hatred, it would seem that they are not in any way called to address the rising number of hate crimes committed by Muslims and pro-Palestinian supporters against Jews and Christians.

In the interests of balance and fair representation for all, surely any such group should draw its members from across the wider spectrum of religious and ethnic representation, and be tasked with tackling the growing intolerance against all groups, be they Muslim, Jewish, or Christian?  As it is, the exclusive emphasis on ‘Muslimness’ risks criminalising any and all expression of concern or criticism of Islam – including, for example, the recording of ethnicity in relation to sexual grooming and abuse.  It will in fact, as critics have already said, shield Islamic belief from any kind of criticism, and run the risk of introducing a blasphemy law by the back door.

It is of interest that the group has already apparently adopted the 2018 definition of Islamophobia put forward by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Muslims, which said, ‘Islamophobia is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness’.  This, despite the fact the definition has been roundly condemned as negatively impacting freedom of expression and freedom of belief for those of other convictions and faith.   As stated by the national secular society, ‘We are concerned that allegations of Islamophobia will be, indeed already are being, used to effectively shield Islamic beliefs and even extremists from criticism, and formalising this definition will result in it being employed effectively as something of a backdoor for blasphemy law.’

In similar vein, counter-extremism advisor Haras Rafiq has warned, “There is a real danger that this term could be weaponised to silence legitimate debate, including discussions about Islamist extremism …  No belief system, including Islam, should be beyond scrutiny, discussion, or even satire. True confidence in faith means being open to dialogue, not shutting it down“.

The special treatment of Islam, and other interest groups seeking to impose a worldview that runs counter to the traditions and practice of our country, must be resisted.  Christianity remains the established faith of the UK, with 42.6% of the population identifying as Christian in the 2012 Census, as against the 6.5% who identified as Muslim.  It is not right that we are seeing the increased prioritisation of Muslim culture and belief over British values.  It is not right that those who do not share Muslim belief should be intimidated into silence. And, most especially, it is not right that evidence of Muslim involvement in crime and/or terror related incidents, should be ignored or actively suppressed, for fear of investigating officers being labelled racist.  Those who make their home in our country must subscribe to our values, and uphold our traditions.  They must respect our democracy and Christian belief.

Please help VfJUK continue the fight to defend victims of oppression, whenever and wherever such attacks arise, and to uphold the democratic freedoms that underpin our country.

Warning – beware the environmental dangers of chemical abortion

New research from the US reveals growing alarm at the unprecedented level of abortion pill chemicals and human remains now entering the general water supply, which existing water purification measures cannot treat.

Every day, literally tons of hazardous waste, including the abortion drug Mifepristone and human foetal remains, are being flushed down the lavatory and into our water system, causing incalculable damage both to the environment and to public health.   By such unregulated discharge, we are creating a biohazard crisis, which could potentially put at risk human fertility and endanger the general health of all.

Please sign our petition to the Department of Health and Social Care calling for urgent investigation into the unprecedented level of abortion pill chemicals and human remains currently entering our water supply.  Demand that there be full investigation of the impact on the environment of abortion pill metabolites and related by-products (i.e. human remains) entering our water systems, and the possible effects this will have on human health and fertility.

Stop unrestricted and dangerous discharge of the abortion drug Mifepristone into the nation’s water supply
