| If you ever harboured doubts about the immutability of biological sex, the actions of transgender campaigners, following the ruling of the Supreme Court that “‘women’ means biological women”, surely demonstrates beyond all doubt the vicious spirit that lies at the heart of the attempted ideological rebranding of our culture. Mass demonstrations across London; death threats; the defacement of suffragette statues; calls to urinate in collective protest in Westminster Square … These are tactics expressly designed to intimidate and bully all opposition –literally to beat opponents into submission. What these protests are not, are the pleas of genuinely wounded ‘feminine’ souls begging for recognition and support.
Contrast this then with the women who, over the last few years, have protested and lobbied against the assault on female status and equality. Women such as J K Rowling, and former Kentucky swimming star Riley Gaines, unfairly forced to cede her title to transgender rival Lia Thomas. Women who have protested, certainly, and lobbied against what they see as unfairness, but who have never once threatened opponents with physical intimidation and violence.
That transgender activists routinely employ such intimidatory tactics surely begs the question, is this a reflection of their character and innately expressive of gender, or is it rather a by-product of revolutionary zeal, committed to violent overthrow of the old order? Either way, it would seem to indicate a callous indifference to the needs and feelings of others – to anything and anyone, in fact, perceived as standing in the way of their own advancement.
The truth is, the UK is in process of an attempted takeover by ‘revolutionaries’ hostile, not just to British values, but to our heritage and entire way of life, and who will stop at nothing to achieve their ends. They remain, however, hard to pin down, because they belong not just to one group, but to many – calling for different things, but united in their overriding desire to tear down and destroy. The rebranding of sexual and moral values, for instance; the promotion of multi-faith and multi-cultural interests over national identity; the normalisation of deviance … all feed into a general movement for the destruction of our heritage and the conquest of our land.
It is vital that we recognise this for what it is – a spiritual battle between good and evil. This is not to say that people suffering from gender dysphoria are ‘evil’, but rather that they are being exploited by evil in order to undermine and destroy the God-ordained basis for our creation – which is wholly good and operates for our benefit.
Down the centuries, however imperfectly, Britain has given allegiance to Christ and, while we have kept faith, the Lord has protected us against all attack, delivering us too from pestilence and plague. We have been a jewel in God’s hand, and He has extraordinarily blessed and used us – most significantly, to carry the gospel to every corner of the globe. Traditionally, we have been a ‘quiet’ people, hard to rile, but with an over-riding sense of justice and fair play, ever ready to defend the underdog.
Over the course of the last century, however, evil has grown strong. Most importantly, it has learnt how to undermine and attack by stealth, from within. And, as the time for the Lord’s return draws near, it has, on the face of it, been extraordinarily successful. This is especially visible, for example, in the Church, which has largely abandoned its call to guard the flock and defend the Truth, in favour of cultural relevance and compromise.
The good news is that, despite our faithlessness, the Lord has not given up on us. He still has plans for this nation. But He will not bless evil, and for His plans now to be realised, it is urgent, as first step, that we repent, and that we then take action to rid our land of all that is wrong; wherever, whenever, and howsoever it manifests. Not in a spirit of hatred or fear, or the desire for revenge, but with considered and clear-sighted courage and strength, that chooses what is right and refuses to be deceived.

If the Assisted Dying Bill is passed, it will inevitably fling wide the door to euthanasia. Death will come to all of us, but life remains the gift of God and, as such, is to be respected, with compassion and genuine care, until its natural end. Every life, whatever its condition, has value.
That some, with terminal disease, may decide prematurely to end their suffering remains their choice. But the burden of implementing that choice cannot, and must not, be imposed onto others. And most especially it must not be imposed onto doctors, whose primary duty is not to kill, but to care for the sick.
There is every danger that, if society supports assisted suicide, the message will become embedded that life in general has value only while it remains ‘productive’, and it will become a licence to cull the vulnerable and weak. As is all too evident in other jurisdictions where assisted dying is legal, no proposed ‘safeguards’ can guard against this.
