Pray without ceasing, pray like never before!

Should we be surprised?  No.

The world’s deteriorating situation is a direct result of our ever-growing rebellion against God, and our unholy worship of ‘Self’.  To put it another way, what we are seeing is a direct consequence of sin.

Time and again the Lord has warned us and called us to repent, and time and again we have ignored Him, insisting on our absolute right to assert control – whether that be our unrestrained entitlement to have sex, without commitment, whenever, wherever, and with whomsoever we choose; our claimed right to kill the unwanted unborn; our reclassification of ‘perversion’ as good; our insistence on gender fluidity and choice for children as young as two; or our claim that all gods are the same.  The truth is, by our deviant worship of Self, the demonic has grown strong, and the chaos monster has been unleashed.

As a nation, we have put ourselves under judgment – from which we can be rescued only by God.  In fact, Britain today stands in greater danger than at any time since Hitler’s invasion of Europe in WW2.  Then, an aggressor far more powerful than ourselves threatened invasion, and, as Europe collapsed before the onslaught, we stood alone.  It may well be that we shall soon find ourselves in a similar position, and similarly in need of help.  In WW2, as our troops were driven onto the beaches of Dunkirk, and faced with what looked to be almost certain annihilation, the King called the nation to prayer.  And, against all the odds, there was a miraculous deliverance.   Watch the story here.

Pastor John, who produced the video, writes ‘Our Nation can be delivered once again, if enough people genuinely repent of their wickedness and turn to the Lord in humility.’

Let us heed that call.  God’s power is not so diminished that He cannot save – but, for Him to move, it is imperative we repent.  Let us do so before it’s too late, and cry out to God for deliverance.
