| It has come to light over the last few days that, during Ramadan, NHS staff were encouraged by senior management to join with Muslims in fasting during the much-publicised Islamic holy month, in order to demonstrate solidarity with their Muslim colleagues. Posters, created by the NHS Muslim network, were circulated to all NHS staff, endorsed by NHS Chief Strategy Officer Chris Hopson, who fulsomely wrote: “I am pleased to be taking part in the #NHSRamadanChallenge, to show my allyship to all our Muslim colleagues in the NHS.”
As if that wasn’t bad enough, news now comes that the NHS, through guidance produced and distributed by the same network, is actively encouraging staff to convert to Islam. The handbook for ‘New Muslims’ is apparently being handed out to all staff, and tells non-believers that converting to Islam would be ‘the best decision you’ll ever make.
As justification for supporting what appears naked and biased propaganda, NHS England announced, “We are a diverse country and that is reflected in the NHS workforce – it’s vital that we make sure all our staff feel included so we can recruit and retain an NHS workforce that is as productive as possible.”
Seriously? NHS England is the same body that attempted to sack Dr Richard Scott for praying with a seriously ill patient, and sharing his Christian faith with drug addicts. This is the same body that won’t allow nurses to wear a cross at work, and that has consciously created an environment where Christians are afraid to mention or express their faith, for fear of being disciplined or fired.
It would seem then that if you’re Muslim, diversity, equality and inclusivity requirements actively encourage expansion of a religion that views all non-believers as cursed. See, for example, Surah 9:5, “Then kill the disbelievers (non-Muslims) wherever you find them, capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush …”. Of a religion, moreover, that not infrequently calls for mass extermination of Jews, that promises a heavenly reward of 72 virgins to terrorists and suicide bombers, and that condemns the Christian view of God, downgrading His Son, Jesus Christ, to the position of minor prophet, inferior to Mohammed.
Yet at the same time Christianity, which teaches love for all and is the established faith of our land, is actively suppressed. This is not right. Christianity came to our shores in around 43 AD and took root, so that by the time St Augustine arrived in 597 AD we were already a ‘Christian’ country. We have never looked back, and over the centuries all of our laws, values and culture have been based on the Bible – it is this, indeed, that has put the ‘Great’ into Britain. But now our society, heritage and values … our identity… are under concentrated attack and it is vital we resist. The conscious attempt to Islamize our country must be seen for what it is – partisan bias, and a carefully orchestrated attempt to take over. It must be resisted.
A worrying development
Following the ruling of the Supreme Court that a ‘woman’ is defined by biological sex, transgender activists have reacted with rage. In their support, a vote by junior doctors at the British Medical Association (BMA) has now condemned the ruling as ‘scientifically illiterate‘ and ‘biologically nonsensical’. They apparently claim that a binary divide between sex and gender “has no basis in science or medicine while being actively harmful to transgender and gender-diverse people“.
Are we to conclude from this that medical training in the UK no longer teaches anatomy or basic biology? And, if so, would any of us want to receive treatment from these so-called ‘doctors’? After all, if they make such a basic mistake as this, how can we trust them to get it right if called upon to assess and treat disease?

Assisted Dying, if passed, will inevitably open the door to State-sanctioned culling of the elderly and vulnerable.
That some, with terminal disease, may decide prematurely to end their suffering remains their choice. But the burden of implementing that choice cannot, and must not, be imposed upon others. And most especially it must not be imposed onto doctors, whose primary duty is not to kill, but to care for the sick.
There is every danger that, if society supports assisted suicide, the message will become embedded that life in general has value only while it remains ‘productive’, and, as said, it will become a licence to cull the vulnerable and weak. As is all too evident in other jurisdictions where assisted dying is legal, no proposed ‘safeguards’ can guard against this.
