Young UK Pro-Lifer of the year award, 2025
VfJUK is proud to announce first award of the Charlie Kirk Memorial Cup
In the wake of the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk and as a memorial to his life, ministry, and unwavering support for the pro-life cause, pro-life groups in the UK have joined together to present an annual award to the young pro-lifer of the year.
The winner was announced yesterday, 14th October,
on what would have been Charlie’s birthday.
To be eligible, it was decided that nominees must:
Having received their testimony to CIDAC, VfJUK was pleased to recommend Manchester University students Inge-Maria Botha, President of Manchester University Pro-Life Society, and Barnabus Khan, Treasurer of the same society. In their defence of the unborn, both have been the target of extraordinary and sustained attack from abortion supporters, including not just verbal, but physical, intimidation and assault. Listen to just a small part of Inge-Maria’s testimony here, and prepare to be shocked: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/RZ0oo0NgvWU
We are delighted to announce that Inge-Maria has won the award, with Barnabas in second place, and Bede Teeton, President of Birmingham University’s Pro-Life Society in third. These young people are truly exemplary in their courageous and unwavering support for the unborn, and we are pleased to honour them.

A Real Genocide
Nigerian Christians are being slaughtered … while the West shamefully keeps silent
Since 2009, over 50,000 Christians have been massacred in Nigeria, while over 18,000 Churches and 2,000 Christian schools have been destroyed. In June of this year, 200 Christian villagers were slaughtered by heavily armed Fulani Jihadists. At the same time, millions of Christians in the country are daily facing persecution by Islamic terrorist groups.
In the UK, there is outcry over the sufferings of ethnic groups – most of whom are Muslim – in places such as Gaza and Afghanistan. Yet the targeted, deliberate violence against Christians – their deliberate murder – is largely being ignored. Worldwide, over 380 million Christians today face persecution and violence, because of their faith, making them the most persecuted group on the planet.
And yet, here in the UK, we keep silent.
The evidence of such widespread persecution of Christians by dominant Islamic groups shows that, whatever is claimed, Islam is not a religion of peace. Simple justice demands that we recognise and acknowledge what is going on, and stand with our Christian brothers and sisters being targeted by Jihadist groups seeking their destruction.
Please write to your MP today, calling for the UK to give active support to Christians facing persecution. Demand that we offer asylum to Christian refugees fleeing in fear of their lives.
